As our children begin their day,
Keep them safe in every way.
Guide them as they walk to school,
Help them follow all the rules.
As they enter their classes today,
May they stop and quietly pray,
For wisdom, knowledge and insight too,
In every assignment they may do.
And when they need a helping hand,
May all their teachers understand,
And offer them just what they need,
So they will know they can succeed.
And when the final bell has rung,
And the school day is finally done,
May our children leave with cheer,
And say how glad their day was there.
