What are you facing today? Unemployment, financial difficulties, health problems, rebellious children or a troubled marriage or relationship? Whatever the trial, I hope this poem that I wrote recently helps to remind you that it's only for a season.

If you're facing a trial like never before,
Its purpose is always to help you mature.
To deepen your faith, to chip away pride,
And help you determine what's really inside.
To purge away traits that might cause you to sin,
And build up your character residing within.
To cultivate patience, endurance and love,
And teach you to trust in the Father above.
So don't get discouraged if you're going thru,
For God has a purpose and plan just for you.
And when He believes you have come to that place,
He'll bring to an end all the trouble you face.
So if you are struggling with some of the reasons,
Just know what you're facing is only a season.
